Our history

From experience to evidence

In 1995, we met in the field on a humanitarian mission. Today, our combined experiences have strengthened our conviction that “without art, nothing is possible!

In refugee camps, in the heart of ruined cities, in forgotten villages, there is always someone creating. A man drawing with coffee on a wrapper, a woman making children sing under a tent, a group dancing between two power cuts. Even when everything collapses, art remains standing.

Creation is a means of resisting, surviving and rebuilding.
Togeth’Art was born of this obvious need: to support these behind-the-scenes artists, to highlight their ingenuity, to offer them the means to continue transmitting, bringing people together, restoring hope.

She is passionate about art, “invincible freedom”, in all its forms, with a particular love of Art Brut.

Fatiha

Fatiha has taken part in numerous humanitarian missions: Yemen, Malawi, Iraq, Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Pakistan, Palestine. Sensitive to Art and its benefits for people’s health.

Our conviction

Art as a vehicle for well-being

“Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”

Constitution of the World Health Organization (WHO)

Art is everywhere

A recent report by the World Health Organization, based on 900 international publications, concludes that art has a decisive impact in the prevention, management and treatment of both mental and physical health.

Togeth’Art gives visibility to artists and their initiatives within their communities, enabling them to deploy the full benefits of their actions.

The association provides material assistance to artists, sets up means of exchanging and transmitting know-how between artists here and there, and works to raise awareness among institutions and decision-makers of the need to bring art into healthcare, educational and social settings, even and above all where there is chaos.
